turkey vulture. Work in progress.
Three paintings in the early stages.
A snowy owl, woodpeckers, and turkey vulture.
The beginning is so much fun. Just letting the loose washes flow all over the paper.
Later on, when these washes are thoroughly dry, I'll start to layer.
I'll keep you posted on my progress!

I really admire your work, and it's so interesting to see the beginning stages. I especially can't wait to see the woodpecker!

Hi Holly, i really enjoyed seeing your paintings in the early stage. I like playing around with watercolours - I like painting trees - so I found it so interesting to see your beginnings. Looking forward to seeing the next stage! Karen

I recently wrote a friend who lives in England and used the anacronym WIP. She wrote back to say that it took her the Longest time, to figure out what WIP meant:) its funny to hear some of the phrases that she uses, that I/we westerners don't get at All! The things we take for granted, right? :) Laura
